Been an LG gadget user is actually a pride as their smartphones stands out from the crowd just like the Motorola and Nokia devices. From the reports we’ve gotten so far, LG are nailing various techniques in other to go “Gaga” in their upcoming android device. Thus the company are rumored to practically bring lots of improvement to there potential flagship mobile. Just like the Galaxy S8, the LG G6 renders has also been leaked online and this mock-ups where completely designed by 3d artists. Now getting into the details of LG G6 which is also touted to be the next generation gadget below are what we know so far concerning the potential upcoming device.
Design
One thing you’ve to know about the LG G6 is that there are fierce rumors circulating around it. However even though they’re all regarded as “rumors”, I’d say that most of this rumors make sense!. According to the reports, the LG G6 may ditch the modular concept of its predecessor in favor of a less-adventurous, waterproof design with non-removable battery and corning Gorilla Glass 5 which will protect the device. While other enthusiasts are still claiming that the battery will be removable despite the added water resistance. Both the LG G5 and V20 sported removable batteries, but the G6 may break this tradition with a non-replaceable, sealed battery unit.
Earlier on, LG has announced that, in order to prevent the battery on the LG G6 from overheating, it will employ a copper heat pipe cooling system that will drive heat away from the battery. Thus the company will be testing the battery for the new flagship smartphone at temperatures 15% higher than U.S. and European standards, in order to ensure their resistance to heat. According to our source, LG is said to be looking for an adhesive-based waterproofing method similar to what Apple did with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Now whether the company will drop modules entirely for its upcoming flagship is up for debate, but it does make a lot of sense and ties up with other rumors regarding the phone’s design.
Features
LG made an immersive late entry into the smartphones community. However the brand has globally emerged neck to neck with other competitors and has stolen many gadget lover hearts. The LG G6 is one of the upgraded variant from the LG series with a display of 5.7 inch, 1440 x 2880 screen resolutions and 4k display. The variant is a visual delight to many LG smartphone enthusiast. The LG G6 processor is said to come with Snapdragon 821 processor which has an ideal functionalities. The LG G6 also unveils a 6 GB RAM and the device is available in multiple colors for various consumers satisfaction.
In terms of the LG G6 camera, there aren’t much to unveil as the upcoming device “Might” feature a dual camera with 16MP rear and 12MP front-facing camera. Remember that back in October, LG announced an all-in-one iris scanning module and the LG G6 might be the first device to sport it. The LG G5 comes with 32 GB of storage, thus G6 is expected to offer a double of that. So we’re expecting a 64/128GB of space for your apps, data and multimedia files. The device will also bring with it a microSD slot upto 256GB which will help to expand the storage. Also according to our source, LG G6 will feature the latest android 7.0 Nougat and thus this smartphone is completely promising.

Release Date
LG has made a great launch of its LG G5 in the mobile world congress on February 2016 in Barcelona which was launched on its first day. If the G5 is anything to go by, then there’s a huge possibility that LG will likely aim for a February reveal with the G6, probably around the MWC 2017. Back way in 2014, I was never a fan of LG smartphones but ever since the company started upgrading there device with lot’s of improvement, my opinion changed. To be frank with you, the LG G6 release date hasn’t been revealed yet but let’s take a look at the previous LG G-series launch dates.
- LG G2 – Announced in August 2013 and was released on September 2013
- LG G3 – Announced in May 2014 and was released on June 2014
- LG G4 – Announced in April 2015 and was released on May 2015
- LG G5 – Announced in February 2016 and was released on April 2016
Now the expected announcement of the LG G6 will probably be in February 2017 and the expected release in March – April 2017. Without further speculation, just know that LG G6 will likely be announced at MWC in February and released in march 10 since there’s no clear pattern to this dates.
Price
The LG G5 was sold at around $650 back in April when it was first released, and now according to our source the LG G6 will likely retain the same price tag. It may be a bit more expensive , depending on how big of a leap forward it is compared to the G5, but we wouldn’t bet on anything cheaper than $650 or more expensive than $700. LG has always priced its flagship devices lower than Samsung, and it’s highly unlikely that the G6 will be a deviation from this trend. If perhaps you want something more big and elegant, then the LG V20 might be the best alternative or you probably have to save your budget and wait for the LG V30 which will soon be unraveling.
Renders
We’re starting to see the frequency of the LG G6 rumors release, this however means that a flagship is on the verge to be unveiled. Earlier on, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Renders where leaked online by 3d artists and this design mock-ups technically look stunning and many S8 fans are already anticipating for a design close to those renders. The LG G6 however doesn’t make any difference as the renders has been leaked also unveiling a device with the perfect curves, smoothness and the rounded display corners we’ve lived so far.
Final Words
The LG G6 seems to be a promising device and will certainly bring with it a huge and plethora features just like what we saw on the Google pixels smartphones. From the renders above, the device appears to be “all-metal” again with a perfect beautiful curve just like a unicorn. Certainly the LG G6 will probably be a beast and if the price tag is something everyone can afford, then it’s a must have. While anticipating for the official release and announcement of the LG G6, endeavour to share with us what you probably think about the LG G6. Will it set a competition between the Samsung Galaxy device?.
