When I was young, I was always told that knowledge is power and to keep reading. But as time went by, I realised that not all books where “worth” reading. It is without doubt that a slew of books out there offers meaningful and educative contents, but there are some that are filled with negativities that’ll make you regret ever spending money and time on. Due to this, a ton of eBook download sites starting spawning on the web, acting as a search engine for articles and books on various topics and users can access, read or download them for free. One such website is bookzz, a recommended platform for book nerds.
What is Bookzz?
Bookzz is simply a search engine for books and articles on various topics. It allows users to access its library of over 9 million books plus articles and find contents they like with options to read or download them as PDFs for offline use. To simply put, bookzz is awesome. In fact, it is a guerilla. The site ‘surprisingly’ spawned as a non-profit project that depends solely on donations (but has a few commercials) and yet gives users “unlimited” access to literature.
One of bookzz unique feature and perhaps ‘strong point’ is that it is ‘completely’ free. It brings a colossal number of eBooks in high quality and prides itself as the largest eBook library on the internet. But is it? Well we will find out soon, but before that, lets see if bookzz fall under the legal or illegal arena.
Is Bookzz Legal?
With all we have said so far, you’d be wondering if bookzz is legal or not. Truth is, the site gives users access to a dozen of books and articles that are ‘paywalled’ or aren’t allowed to be digitalized elsewhere. Users who are familiar with the platform will notice that its domain bookzz.org and bookzz.ru aren’t functioning anymore, and due to this, a ton of clone sites starting appearing on the internet, thus impersonating the original.
Thankfully, bookzz new domain address was announced on Reddit and it has so far proven to be reliable and safe. But it isn’t legal. Yeah you heard me right. It’s quite sad to say, but you will certainly agree with me that despite being illegal, the platform comes quite in handy for people who aren’t ready to break their bank account just to buy some crappy books unknowingly. So if you’re willing to ignore the illegal thing, save some bucks and get that essential book for free, then here’s how to read or download eBooks from Bookfi.
Downloading eBooks from Bookzz
The steps are “pretty” simple, but we will however unravel it to beginners. So to get this one going, you’ll need to head over to the official bookzz new address b-ok.org. Once you are in, you do be greeted with a relatively easy-to-use interface and clear navigations. Directly from the homepage, you’ll see that the sites database contents more than 3,502,357 books and 52,429,917 articles – and they are all available to be downloaded for free.
Next up, you will see the search bar that sits comfortably at the center, it’s where everything will happen. So go ahead and input a book title, author or category and hit search. For example, we’ll enter Purple Hibiscus. It is a great novel solely written by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. If by any chance you are looking for a book and was presented with an article results, then you’ll need to switch preference.
To do this, simply notice the “Advance search” option below the search bar, tap on it and enable exact matching. From there, you can filter and sort books and articles by Year, Language and File Extension. Personally, I love this feature. It makes search results accurate and relevant once enabled.
Once you click “search” after typing in the name of the book or article you want to download and read, you’ll be presented with a ton of results relating to what you have searched for. So go ahead and look for the one you think is more accurate and select it by clicking the “see details and download” text. On the next page, do justice to the eBook and you’re good to go.
Bookzz Features
Bookzz is feature-rich, it “offers” a slew of books and articles in the highest possible quality. Most of its ebooks comes with file type such as .txt, PDF, EPUB, DOC etc. and others that are in rar format can be easily extracted. One of bookzz “unique” feature and perhaps strong point is its comments system, once you’ve scrolled past a book or an article details such as author name and cover photo, you’d get to see a lot of comments dropped by users and you can also contribute your thoughts to help people find books that are worth reading.
Aside from this, bookzz lets you send your favourite ebooks to Kindle or Email, but this feature will require you to create or sign in to your Z-Library account. The menu at the top right corner on bookzz website will reveal useful options once clicked. From there, you will get to see recently added books and articles, and the categories they’re slapped in. Moreover, you can add your own book that’s if you desire.
Wrapping Up
That’s it. It’s extremely easy to get used to Bookzz and once you do, you’d be stunned at the contents the site offers. Bookzz for one thing “proves that the best things in life are free and that knowledge mustn’t cost a dime to acquire. We strongly urge you to frequent the site more often, as you’d get to discover new books that’ll educate you immensely.
